How growth actually happens

Doing alone doesn't build skills. Learning alone doesn't either. iLitUp pairs them.

Every real-world project a student takes on is paired with a short learning module on the same skill — and the combination earns a leveled credential. That's the loop that produces real, certifiable growth.

01 Do

Take on real work.

A tutoring program. A park cleanup. A coding club. A school newspaper role. Whatever the project, iLitUp tags it to the skill domain the student is actually practicing.

For example

Tag: Communication · Patience · Teaching
02 Learn

Pair it with a short module.

iLitUp recommends a 20–45 min learning module tied to the same skill the student is exercising in the field — so doing and learning reinforce each other instead of running in parallel.

Public Speaking essentials · 20 min
Builds: Communication · Confidence
03 Level up

Earn a verified credential.

Project verified. Module completed. The student's skill in that domain levels up — with the evidence to back it. Colleges, scholarships, and employers can see what they're actually capable of.

Result
Communication · Level 3 unlocked
8 projects · 4 modules · 1 NGO admin verified
And the loop repeats — each cycle deepening the credential or starting a new skill domain.
What students walk away with

A credential that travels with them — to colleges, employers, and every door they want to open.

Not a list of hours. Not a self-reported résumé. A leveled, verifiable, one-page credential that admissions officers, scholarship committees, and employers can trust at a glance — with the evidence behind every claim a single click away.

  • Leveled skill summary — exactly what they're capable of, in language colleges already use
  • Verified projects list — every entry signed by a real NGO admin, with an audit trail
  • Career pathways unlocked — concrete next steps their credentials qualify them for
  • Tamper-proof verification ID — admissions can scan a QR to confirm authenticity

We're looking for launch partners
Are you a learning platform, NGO, district, or CSR team? Let's build this together.
Become a partner
Why partner with iLitUp

Because the next generation deserves better infrastructure for their growth — and your organization is part of building it.

Mission matters. So does mutual benefit. Here's what partnership with iLitUp actually gets you, alongside the obvious reason: students are the future, and we all have a stake in helping them rise.

01 · Reach

Reach a generation that's hard to find anywhere else.

Young people don't live on the same platforms adults do. iLitUp is where they go to track their own growth — your courses, programs, and opportunities land where they actually are, in context.

Best for learning platforms, NGOs, and CSR teams who want a direct, structured channel to student audiences they currently can't reach at scale.
02 · Proof

See what your work actually builds.

For the first time, get a measurable view of how your content, programs, or sponsorships translate into real, leveled skills in young people. Outcome data your board, funders, and CSR stakeholders can act on.

What you get live impact dashboards, skill-outcome breakdowns, demographic and geographic reach, and ESG/grant-ready exports — generated, not assembled.
03 · Influence

Shape the infrastructure — and be on the right side of equity.

Today, only students with family networks get their growth recognized. iLitUp makes that recognition structural. As a launch partner, you help define how skills are framed, leveled, and credentialed for the next generation.

Why it matters a story your customers, stakeholders, and funders want to be associated with — and a seat at the table while the framework is being built.
One platform · three sides

The problem

Real growth is happening — but no one has a way to see it, prove it, or reward it.

Students do meaningful work and grow real skills through it. NGOs deliver impact every day. Companies fund both. And yet none of that growth is visible in a structured, comparable, fundable way. iLitUp closes that gap.

For students

Your skills, leveled up and certified.

Build a real, dynamic skill profile — not a list of hours. Every project, course, and contribution levels up a credential you can take to colleges and employers.

  • Leveled skill credentials — communication, leadership, data, science, design, and 20+ more
  • Bite-size learning modules — short, focused courses that pair with the projects you take on
  • Career & scholarship matching — see which paths your skills unlock
  • College-ready portfolio export — credentialed, audit-trailed, application-ready

Why it matters

Real skills, equally certified, for every student.

Affluent students get their growth recognized through family networks and informal credibility. iLitUp makes that recognition structural — same credentials, same trust, same opportunity, for every student.

Today

Some students get their growth counted through informal credibility — handwritten logs, family connections, and trust networks they happened to be born into.

Today

Equally talented students do the same work but lack the credentialing infrastructure to convert it into college and career credit.

With iLitUp

Every student earns the same leveled, verified credentials. The same growth, equal recognition, equal access to the careers and colleges those skills unlock.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What does a "skill credential" mean on iLitUp?
A skill credential is a leveled record of growth in a specific domain — communication, leadership, data literacy, programming, environmental science, and 20+ more. Levels are earned through a mix of real-world projects (verified by NGO admins) and short, focused learning modules mapped to each skill. Every credential traces back to specific evidence, so it's not just a self-claim — it's auditable.
How does iLitUp help NGOs and corporates?
NGOs and corporate CSR teams get a live impact dashboard showing exactly what their programs are growing — hours, demographics, geography, skill outcomes, and retention. Reports are grant- and ESG-ready out of the box. Corporates sponsoring skill-building programs also get a workforce-pipeline view — credentialed young people in their communities ready for internships and apprenticeships.
Is iLitUp free for students?
Yes — always. Districts and corporate sponsors fund the platform; students pay nothing. We believe credentialing real growth shouldn't be a paywalled privilege of students whose families can already afford it.
How is this different from a volunteer-hour tracker?
Hour tracking is table stakes — and it doesn't tell you anything about what a student actually grew into. iLitUp is built around skills: which ones a student is building, how those skills level up over time, and which careers and college paths those credentials unlock. Hours show up under the hood as evidence; skills are what students, counselors, funders, and employers actually care about.
Who can become a partner?
We're actively building partnerships across three groups: learning platforms whose courses can be mapped to our skill framework, NGOs who run real-world programs young people grow through, and districts and CSR teams who want to fund and measure the skills high schoolers are building. If your organization fits any of those — get in touch through the waitlist with "Partner / org" selected and we'll set up a conversation.
What does sponsorship look like for corporates?
Corporates can sponsor branded skill-building programs (e.g., "Microsoft Coding Volunteers", "Walmart Day of Service"), fund scholarships routed through iLitUp to high-performing students, or subscribe to aggregated impact dashboards for ESG and CSR reporting. Sponsorships range from $5K–$50K per program, with enterprise pipeline access available for larger commitments.
How is student data handled?
iLitUp is built to align with FERPA. Student records belong to the student and their district — never sold, never shared with third parties without explicit consent. Aggregated dashboards seen by NGOs and corporates use de-identified data, audited before any reporting use.
Where are you available?
We're piloting in New Jersey and New York City first, with select partner NGOs and a small number of districts already onboard. We're currently focused on high school students, with extension to college students planned for later phases. Year 2 expands into the broader tri-state area; nationwide expansion follows district and corporate demand. Want us in your community? Get on the waitlist with your organization name.
